Terms of use

Effective

These terms apply to the polaryn.app website and to the Polaryn service, including the iPhone app and the web app, run by Nicholas Thrash ("we"). By using them you agree to these terms. If your organization has a separate written agreement with us, that agreement wins where the two differ.

Who Polaryn is for

Polaryn is a staff tool. Organizations set up workspaces for their own teams, and accounts are issued by your organization. Your organization decides who has access, which modules are on and what content is published.

Your account

  • Keep your sign-in details to yourself and tell your administrator if you think someone else has used them.
  • Use only the workspaces your organization has given you access to.
  • You can delete your account from Account in the app at any time.

Acceptable use

Don't use Polaryn to:

  • break the law or anyone's rights, including privacy and intellectual property rights;
  • upload malware or try to get into accounts, workspaces or systems you aren't allowed to use;
  • overload, scrape or reverse engineer the service, except where the law allows it;
  • store patient health records or other information your organization's policies don't allow in Polaryn.

Content

Your organization owns the content it puts in its workspace and is responsible for it. Reference material in a workspace is written by that organization for its own staff. It is not medical, legal or other professional advice from us; follow your organization's policies and your professional judgment.

You give us permission to store, process and display content only as needed to run Polaryn for your organization. The Polaryn name, heart icon, app and website belong to us.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Polaryn running and your information safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. Keep your own copies of anything critical. We may change or discontinue features, and we'll give organizations reasonable notice of changes that affect them significantly.

Other services

Polaryn can link to or connect with services we don't run, such as your scheduling calendar or websites in Sources. Their own terms and policies apply to them.

Disclaimers and liability

Polaryn is provided "as is" and "as available" to the extent the law allows. We aren't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for decisions made using content in a workspace. Where the law doesn't allow these limits, they apply as far as the law permits.

Ending access

Your organization can remove your access, and we may suspend access that breaks these terms or puts the service or others at risk. Sections on content, disclaimers and liability continue after access ends.

Changes to these terms

We'll post updates here and revise the effective date. Continuing to use Polaryn after a change means you accept it.
